In these next two images they are to compliment the Part 2 post below with the images of the tree growing out of the rocks. In these two shots I'm showing you just how wonderful this tree has managed to survive by curling it's trunk around the rock and in the same shot showing the beautiful mountains in the background. So lovely.....how nature can adapt to it's environment. It has always amazed me how trees can grow anywhere even in rock.
Beautiful day! Such a cute little animal and it is amazing how some trees can grow in the most difficult conditions.

John ~ Yes the chipmunk what a great find indeed...he or maybe she was just so cute, but they do have the most amazing call. That's how I noticed them in the first place. Good thing I have some hearing otherwise I wouldn't have noticed the Chipmunks at all.
Joan ~ Oh it is stunning up here Joan and everyday will definatly be an adventure.
Cute little Chipper you caught there. I think they are very tolerant of humans. I was able to get pretty close to several of them when we were up in Michigan, and we always see them whenever we go camping (they must know campgrounds are a good place for a free meal!). I even had one run across my lap while we were sitting at a picnic table eating a meal. It was crazy. Glad you're enjoying your trip!
ReplyDeleteWow really Heather...that is wild. I guess though chipmunks like squirrels get use to humans being around. This one sure did let me get close...not as close as I would have liked to the the shot I really wanted but hey I'm happy with the shots.
