Mellow Yellow

Morning everyone!! Ahhhhh Victoria reached a lovely 27 yesterday..nice. My son and I went out and had a fabulous day together. My oldest Kenton had gone to Salt's Spring Island for a soccer sleep over camp, so Corey and I had some quality time together it was great. Here are some of my fabulous shots of some summer flowers that I took in my favorite spot!! The UVIC Gardens...I just love that place so much to see and it changes everyday.

Symbolism of Dad....Happy Father's Day

In my third post I have chose this Lobelia flower that I took the other day as a symbol of Dad...why? Well because blue has always traditionally symbolized the male gender and two because Dad are truly beautiful when their not being so masculine. Like at times when you catch them playing with their children, when softly disciplining children, when reading a bedtime storey and my favorite when those big masculine hands try to put on a bandage on the little scrapes.

Happy Victoria Day!!....

Happy Victoria Day!! In celebration of our Capital's special day I have posted lovely flowers to recognize our holiday. For those of you who don't know Victoria B.C, we are the capital of British Columbia and we are known for being the flower capital of Canada. So I thought it would be fitting to post flowers instead of birds for our day.

Tulips

Well since it's still raining here I thought I would put some lovely flower pictures up today. I need a little color on the blog for a change. I'm hoping to get out for Mother's Day on Sunday to capture some great shots around Elk Lake. We have turtles, frogs and fantastic birds that live there. So I'm hopeful for some nice pics for the blog....but until then. Flowers it is...nice for a change don't you think?
