Back On Line But Moved to Saskatchewan

Oh dear it has been awhile hasn't it, but I do have a good excuse as to why I haven't been posting. Our family has had a very huge change. We left the Island and B.C for a better life in Saskatchewan. My husband got offered an opportunity that we couldn't refuse and we took the bull by the horns shall we say.

It was a huge move for the family and we are still adjusting to the dramatic changes that have happened. I'm looking forward to the future with a much needed change and new start away from city stresses. For the first time since I was a child I can go out at night and actually see the stars outside, because where we live now there are very few street lights. So when it gets dark Wow it's dark outside.
Above are some lovely pictures that I've taken since I've moved here.

  1. How exciting, I was hoping you would be around again. I have been through Elbow on the way to where I grew up. Must be a heck of a change for you. Your blog header is beautiful, made me think of home and my Dad. Saskatchewan is the booming province right now...maybe our paths will cross there someday. well all the best, it should be a more peaceful life. take care my friend.

  2. Great to see you back on line Crista. I wish you and yours all the very best in your new home. I moved from a large town to this village years ago and would never move back.

  5. @ Cinner ~ I was thinking of you as a matter of fact as we drove through Alberta :) It would be lovely to cross paths with you.....and I'm glad that you sill haven't given up on my blog Thank you for that.

@ John ~ Thank you John for you lovely thoughts and I'm optimistic that things will be fine here. I'm a bit worried about the winters here though. I have never experienced real cold before I always had the ocean to keep me warm. The lake here freezes two feet deep and apparently you can drive your car right across the lake. Not that I would do that of course but most do.

@ Chris ~ Thank you Chris and I'm eager to show allot of you the environment around here too. There are allot of birds here apparently Saskatchewan is the major Migratory see through and the diversity of speices is huge!!!!

@Forestal~ Thank you very much I appriciate the lovely thoughts towards myself and my family :)

  7. Thank you Maree for your lovely well wishes for myself and my family. It was hard for me because I was born on Vancouver Island and I know no other life that that....it was a big move and I personally find change difficult, but knew in my heart that it was best for the family to leave B.C for a better life.
