Here she is just before she flew down to feed her baby. I love her coloring. I have yet to get a picture of a male. Apparently they are a beautiful brick color with brown wings.
...this year I saw my first-ever White-winged Crossbill. We had an irruption of them this year. I loved their call and listening to them munch on the tiny pinecones of the hemlock. This is a wonderful series you've capture of your crossbills!!
Really do you have a picture on your Blog of the White-winged Crossbill for me to see? I would love to see what one looks like. :) Thanks Kelly....I was pleased with them. I'm hoping to capture a male soon, but we will see. Have a great day!
