The Papaya!! What a beautiful fruit...not only does it taste great but look inside. The seeds are soft perfect for the tropical areas it comes from. Ready to germinate when spread by wild animals....Today I wanted to try a different way of presenting this fruit, so I took my big mirror outside and tried to get some unique shots. Anyone can put fruit on a counter and take a shot...but I wanted a little bit more. Happy Friday Everyone :)
I have never tasted a papaya, but I think after your pics I am going to give them a try. they do look beautiful. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have never tasted papaya either. Looks delicious. Brilliant idea to use the mirror.
ReplyDeleteI like the last photo best of all. Orange is my favorite color. As usual, you rock Heather.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but I went back to did a chronology of your blog from when you first started. I just like to see how things progress I suppose. I was fun looking at all the beautiful photos. I like your cats. I have an extreme allergy to cats. One was hit and killed by a car and one I had to give up because of my husband's allergy. Now I'm divorced but I've developed an extreme allergy to them so I can't have any cats. Anyway wanted you to know that I liked reading through your blog from the get go. Sometimes I do that when I see a blog I like and want to get a feel for it.
ReplyDeleteCool......and refreshing! Love that color!!
ReplyDeleteThe last shot is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteSorry accidentally called you by the wrong name earlier. Forgive me.
ReplyDeleteCarol ~ Your forgiven, I know you follow Heather's blog and she is a great photographer...I find it hard too some days to remember everyone's name!! Thank you for taking the time to come and look at my original posts I think that is fantastic..I'm sure you've noticed that I've grown as a Photographer...I'm trying Carol :)
ReplyDeleteCinner, John ~ You need to give this fruit a try it rocks...so much flavor. Trust me you love it :)
After seeing your delicious looking photos I ordered a Papaya with my grocery delivery. It arrived today. The first time I have ever had one. I had assumed from your pictures it would be fairly large so was surprised to see it was a bit under 6 inches long - but maybe that is the normal size? Also it was pretty well yellow with just some small dark green patches.
ReplyDeleteAnyway it was ripe, as advertised, so I cut it in half and the inside was exactly like your pictures. Scooped out the seeds and ...... beautiful. Not a lot of taste but sweet and succulent. Papaya is now permanently on my list of must have fruits all thanks seeing to your mirror pictures, Crista.
