My Yard Hummingbirds ~ Ahhhh refreshing Nectar

Well I would like to say at last I thing I have accomplished the best from my camera without owning an SLR. I have taken alot of time trying to capture these fast moving sweet wonderful birds for a very long time. Plus I have promised all of you better action shots of my Yard Hummingbirds. Having a leg that is driving me crazy...it is still so sore I practically drag it behind me where ever I go. I'm truly not use to being house bound at all and not being able to go hiking in our wonderful weather is truly getting me down. On the plus side I've read four books already since last week Thursday and I've enjoyed my backyard alot more that I thought I would. But I'm going stir crazy and can hardly wait for my leg to fully heal. John I want to contribute this post for you!! I know how much you love the pictures :)

  7. Thanks Kelly...I know you were struggling with a sore foot...just as bad as a leg. Yes I'm hopeful for a fast recovery....maybe next weekend I can head out for a hike again.

  8. Its nice to see these hummingbirds humming around actual flowers. The only ones I ever see are around the humming bird feeders. Such beautiful and interesting birds.

  9. I love the hummingbirds...Dad always had them on the farm. I have never had one in my yard. Good luck with your leg. I know how it gets to go stir crazy so in the meantime, keep doing what you do . I love your blog. Good luck, Cinner

  10. Thanks Crista. Great shots of your humming visitors. A couple of years ago there was a web site with live video of a Humming Bird feeder which I used to watch a lot but it disappeared. Now with your great stills I can see them in more detail.

I looked up a review of you camera a short while ago and it got very good praise and you are certainly getting the best out of it.

  11. Faye ~ Thank you for your lovely comment. I try my best to show birds and animals in their habitat...sometimes I use the convience of my yard and show them at feeders. I find that summertime is too lush a time to get good photo's of birds because you can't find them in the brush. Winter is fantastic for good bird shots everything is nice and bald!!

Cinner ~ I'm glad I gave you a good memory of your Dad...by the way I could give you a few tips if you would like to attract Hummingbirds into your garden. Just a few key plants is all you will need to get started :)

John ~ Thanks for coming by and viewing the shots....Yes I'm pushing my camera to it's limits...my brain says you can capture this but the camera with multiple setting changes that I impliment says I'm trying!!! Please be kind to me...hahahhah
